Alvaston Opticians has been proudly serving the local community since 2007, providing high-quality eye care and exceptional customer service. Over the years, the practice has built a reputation for delivering professional, personalised care to generations of patients.
In 2023, Dr Farra Hargreaves joined the practice, bringing with her over 20 years of experience in community and hospital optometry, glaucoma and emergency eye care, as well as leadership experience as an NHS director. At the end of 2025, Farra took ownership of the practice, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter while continuing the tradition of outstanding patient care for which Alvaston Opticians is known.
Our Practice Manager, Dawn, born and bred in Alvaston, has been with the practice since it opened and is well recognised by our patients as the beating heart of Alvaston Opticians. We have also had the pleasure of Laura being part of our team since the very beginning, providing expert eye care and becoming a familiar and trusted face to many of our patients.
